A Five-Course Winemaker’s Dinner Featuring the wines from Tom Gore Vineyards – June 13
“A chef needs outstanding ingredients to let a dish shine, and a winemaker needs high-quality grapes to make a great wine,” Tom Gore, 2nd generation farmer behind Tom Gore Vineyards in California. Tom Gore Cabernet Sauvignon is now a VINTAGES Essentials listing at the LCBO, and the grape grower will be in Toronto for the first time to host a dinner at Montecito Restaurant. On Thursday, June 13th, come out and meet the man behind the brand and enjoy an exclusive tasting of his entire portfolio of wines, paired with farm-to-table California-inspired cuisine.
About Tom Gore Vineyards:
Tom Gore Vineyards was founded in 2014 and today the portfolio includes a total of five labels, the hero being the Cabernet Sauvignon – now available as a Vintages Essentials listing at LCBO. But each wine is an expression of the care and attention taken in the vineyard, long before harvest. Drawing upon two generations of grape farming experience ensures that each bottle of wine expresses the story of the growing season in the vineyard.
About the Winemaker:
Dubbed the ‘winemaking farmer’, Tom Gore masterfully crafts the art of wine production by paying tribute and attention to the land, something that has been at the foundation of his plans from the very beginning. He says of his work “truth be told, grapes are my greatest passion. After so many years, I’ve learned that every decision you make in the vineyard can affect the quality and flavour of the grapes. So, I craft grapes, using meticulous farming techniques. In the end, it’s a difference you can taste in the glass.”
