On Monday, June 26, the George Brown College’s Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts annual wine symposium returns under a new brand — Rootstock. Andrew Jefford (Decanter World Wine Awards Chairman, Saperavi International Wine Competition Jury Chair, and Wine Writer) will set the tone with their keynote address.

This year’s presenters will explore sustainability, digital innovation, the ever-changing customer experience, and more. Our guest speakers are Namratha Prasanth (Bordeaux Wine Merchant, Consultant, and Brand Owner), Kate Venugopal (California Wines International Marketing Sustainability Specialist), and George Soleas (LCBO President & CEO).
Master Sommelier Pier-Alexis Soulière, Master Sommelier Bruce Wallner, Master Sommelier Alexander Powell, Master of Wine Almudena Alberca, and Wine Experts Ann Sperling and Peter Gamble will lead guided tastings in thought-provoking breakout sessions. The day ends with the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario presenting the Awards of Excellence in Ontario Wines.
