Welcome to the Championship round of “So, You Think You Know Wine?”
After nine exciting regular episodes and one wildcard round, Season 3 of “So, You Think You Know Wine?” has come to a nail-biting close. We hope you’ve enjoyed watching these videos as much as we enjoyed making them.
Introducing the Finalists
Each of our talented contestants played amazingly well throughout the season and many rounds ended with very close scores, but in the end, we are left with only 4 finalists to sip and spit their way to the final decision.
The finalists are: John Szabo, Master Sommelier and winner of Division A; Bruce Wallner, Master Sommelier and winner of Division B; Zoltan Szabo, Sommelier at Trump Tower and winner of Division C; and Will Predhomme, Sommelier at Canoe and winner of the wildcard round.

The Scoring
Our critics have to rely on skill and talent as they use their nose, eyes and palate to identify the flavours, aromas and general characteristics of a wine to score points. For a wine critic, a blind taste test is the ultimate challenge.
To recap our scoring system, these are the parameters that the critics are scored on for up to a maximum of 10 points:
• Variety = up to 3 points for variety or style
• Location = up to 3 points (1 point for Country, 1 point for Region, 1 for Appellation)
• Vintage = up to 2 points (2 points for exact year, 1 point for +/- 1 year)
• Price = up to 2 points (2 points for +/- 2.5% of price, 1 point for +/- 10% of price)
