Taste of Greece – May 15 – Toronto
Wines of Greece and Friends of Boroume charity are pleased to hold a very special event on Sunday afternoon, May 15th for wine novices and connoisseurs alike. Please join us at the Royal Ontario Museum for an afternoon of Greek wine, a full array of local and international cuisines, and a peek into the authentic Greek way of life.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Friends of Boroume charity, a non-profit organization committed to reducing food waste and the distribution of surplus food to the needy throughout Greece. The price of each ticket will go to cover the cost of food, with the wines donated by Wines of Greece.
From the volcanic soil of Santorini, to the mountainous vineyards of the mainland, experience the modern face of Greek wine and discover why the oldest culture of wine is now the hottest emerging wine region on the planet. The event will feature the wines of nearly 50 of Greece’s most popular wineries. You will also get the chance to savour a variety of local and international culinary fare while you enjoy the live music of Irini Haridou, Nikos Plios and their band, just arrived from Athens, Greece.
