Osborne makes this Spanish brandy using the traditional solera system. (Topping up old barrels with younger spirit but never completely emptying the barrels. Bottling is done from the casks containing the oldest brandies.) Aged in American oak, it’s deep bronzed amber in colour, with an earthy, old wood and toffee bouquet. Full and smooth on the palate with tastes of vanilla caramel, hints of rancio, wood spice and smoke, it has satisfying warmth.
