Megha Jandhyala grew up in India, immersed in its rich and diverse food culture. She moved to North America to study law and graduated with a doctorate from the University of Toronto. A few years ago, she found herself inescapably drawn away from life in academia towards a career in wine. She now writes about wine and food full time as a critic at WineAlign and a contributor for Good Food Revolution. She is also a Rioja certified educator, teaching masterclasses on the region to trade and consumers alike.

Megha is especially interested in exploring emerging wine regions (like Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico and Nashik in India) in her work. She also focuses on the relationship between wine and food in her writing, in particular cuisine from the Indian subcontinent. She hopes to highlight the ways in which wine and different expressions of cuisine can enhance one another, teaching us new ways to appreciate each along the way.
