From the Gimblett Gravels, this is a wonderful example of cool climate Syrah with an intense red and black fruit nose and peppery spice and savoury notes on the palate. While the palate is somewhat more restrained than the nose, the wine has pleasing fruit, with gravelly tannins and a fine seam of acidity that adds freshness and lift.
