Rod Phillips

Rod Phillips is a historian, writer and journalist who lives in Ottawa, Canada’s capital, where he writes a weekly wine column for the city’s main daily newspaper, the Ottawa Citizen. While mainly engaged as a professor of history at Carleton University (teaching courses in the history of Europe and the history of food and drink), Rod writes books on wine, contributes to wine magazines and other media in Canada, the United States and Europe, and judges in wine competitions. He also publishes two free electronic newsletters: Winepointer and Worlds of Wine.
