I do not pretend to be a wine connoisseur or an expert. I write as a wine tourist. Learning as I go, The experience of the winery visit, meeting the winemakers and owners and learning the stories of the winery and the region are an integral part of my enjoyment of a wine. It is a rare winery that does not have at least one wine that speaks to me and asks to come home with me as a memory of the visit.
