Megha Jandhyala grew up in India, immersed in its rich and diverse food culture. She moved to North America for graduate studies and earned a doctorate in law from the University of Toronto. A few years ago, she found herself inescapably drawn away from life in academia towards a career in wine. She now writes about wine and food full time as a critic at WineAlign. She has a Diploma in Wine from the WSET. She is also a Rioja certified educator, teaching masterclasses on the region to trade and consumers alike.
Megha is especially interested in exploring emerging wine regions (like Nashik in India. She also focuses on the relationship between wine and food in her writing, in particular cuisine from the Indian subcontinent. She hopes to highlight the ways in which wine and food can enhance one another, teaching us new ways to appreciate each along the way.
