Junxing (James) Li

Junxing (James) Li is a Toronto-based sommelier and hospitality professional, currently serving as Assistant General Manager and Sommelier at DaNico. He previously held the role of Head Sommelier and Beverage Manager at Enigma Yorkville, where he led a Michelin-level beverage program focused on precision, consistency, and team development.
James holds the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and is an Advanced Sommelier (CMS-EU). He is currently a Master of Wine Stage 1 student and a candidate for the Master Sommelier Diploma, pursuing both pathways concurrently.
In 2026, he was awarded 1st place in the Canada Best Young Sommelier Competition. His work is defined by a disciplined approach to hospitality, combining technical expertise with a focus on clarity, consistency, and guest experience.
