Top 10 Small Wineries

2025 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada
(The Nationals)

Note: Winery of the Year and the Top Wineries lists are comprised of those wineries entering a minimum of five wines. The rankings are based on the total raw scores of the top five wines, plus the weighted value of any platinum, gold, silver, and bronze medals they received. The value of any medal is calculated by the total number awarded versus all the other medals; hence, the lower the number given out, the more valuable the medals are. In 2025, Icewine and Library Wines were not considered in the Winery of the Year calculation. The Replacement wines or Crafted in B.C. wines were not part of the 2025 WineAlign National Wine Awards of Canada but were tasted outside of the competition for a future report to be published on August 21st.

The Best Performing Small Winery list is compiled using the same methodology as the Winery of the Year, except that the winery must maintain an average production level of 10,000 cases or less over the same period as the competition’s current year’s qualifying vintages.
