Hannah Charnock
Hannah Charnock is a wine scientist and educator with a Ph.D. in oenology from Brock University. Her research is centred on the chemical processes that underpin the flavour development of sparkling wines during production and aging, with a particular interest in the traditional method. Beyond her research pursuits, Hannah is dedicated to sharing her insights through teaching and presenting to both industry and academic audiences. In the industry, Hannah has extensive experience in sensory science and has worked in wine cellars across Canada and the UK. She completed the Wine Business Management Certificate at Brock University where she was selected to receive the LCBO-Charton Hobbs Spirit of Inclusion Scholarship. Hannah is currently based in Victoria, BC and pursuing her WSET 3 certification. She plans a career in the Canadian wine industry, once her academic pursuits are accomplished.
