Brent Muller

A firmly transplanted Ontarian, Brent has been working steadily to grow the local wine industry since landing in Victoria. Building on his stint with the LCBO, he swiftly rose to management roles with various wine retailers, all while completing the French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Scholar and Sherry Specialist Certificate. He earned an apprentice judge position at the National Wine Awards of Canada in 2016, and has also judged at The Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Excellence in BC Wine, and The All Canadian Wine Championships, in addition to cocktail competition judging. He is currently in the final stages of completing the WSET Diploma. The 2019 National Wine Awards of Canada 2019 will be his second year as an official judge.

Brent opened Victoria’s acclaimed Vessel Liquor Store, where he is the General Manager and Buyer. Vessel has quickly become the wine hub for Vancouver Island, and one of the top stores in the province, earning Brent and his team the honours of Best Liquor Store in Victoria in their second year of operation.
